About Oak Hill Nursery

Oak Hill Community Nursery is owned, directed and managed by members of the community. It is a purpose built and self – contained facility within Hatcham Oak Children’s Centre.

Our aim is to provide high quality care and education for all children who attend, by delivering an active play based learning programme in a caring, safe, welcoming, relaxed, stimulating and vibrant environment. The environment reflects the diversity of social and cultural backgrounds of the community and all children, parents/carers and families are valued and respected.

The nursery provides full and part time fee paying places for children from 6 months to rising 5 and is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year.

We pride ourselves on working in partnership with all parents and carers in supporting your understanding of your child’s developmental and learning needs, both at the nursery and at home to help maximise your child’s learning potential and raise achievement, ready for the next phase of their learning journey. Our aim is to develop and maintain strong links with the community and other professionals in support of the families who use the nursery. All staff are encouraged to continue their professional development both in house and externally to promote and maintain excellent quality childcare and best practice in the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
